Terms of Service
These terms cover your purchase of the BlackBox OBD-II dongle and your use of the inspectEV app from inspectEV ("we", "us"). By placing an order or using the app, you agree to them.
What you're buying
The BlackBox kit is a Bluetooth OBD-II dongle plus free access to the inspectEV app, which connects to your electric vehicle's Battery Management System to produce a State of Health report — cell voltages, capacity loss, pack condition, and a shareable PDF.
Ordering & payment
- Price is €119 per kit, one-time, shipping included.
- No payment is taken on the website. When we confirm your order by email, we send you the payment details; your BlackBox ships once payment is received. No card or bank details are entered on this website.
- Submitting the checkout form sends us an order request by email; we'll reply to confirm stock and delivery timing before your order ships. An order isn't binding on either side until we confirm it.
Right to cancel
You may cancel your order any time before it ships, free of charge, by emailing [email protected]. Once delivered, you have 14 days to return the BlackBox for a full refund if you change your mind — it should be returned unused and in its original packaging. This doesn't affect any rights you have under your local consumer protection law.
Warranty
The BlackBox dongle is covered against manufacturing defects for 12 months from delivery. If it stops working under normal use within that period, contact us for a replacement.
About your report
State of Health and every other figure in your report is a self-reported reading from your vehicle's own Battery Management System, retrieved over the OBD-II/CAN diagnostic interface — it is not an independent certification. Typical accuracy is ±0.5%, and results can vary with battery temperature, state of charge, and BMS firmware version. A report reflects the pack's condition only at the moment of testing. It's a diagnostic aid, not a substitute for a qualified mechanical inspection.
Liability
We're not liable for decisions made based on a report — including a vehicle purchase, sale, or valuation — beyond the price you paid for the BlackBox kit. We're not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. The version in force at the time you place an order is the one that applies to it.
